Michael Lombardo, Rotarian & County Administrator, gave us a briefing on the County's ongoing effort to update its outdated zoning and subdivision ordinances. He presented slides that had been shown at a public meeting on December 9th. Suffice it to say that this is a much-needed process that will lead to our county having a much clearer and workable ordinance, and its concepts will be used in about 12 months to update the County's Comprehensive Plan. This process is designed to involve citizens in deciding how development should occur and to address numerous issues like solar farms, breweries, wineries, etc. that are likely to be active topics as certain development occurs. Anyone wishing to give input to the County should contact Michael.
