Rotary River Cleanup Teams Head Out of June Parker Marina
The Tappahannock, Warsaw and the Rappahannock Rotary Clubs have partnered in a joint venture with Friends of the Rappahannock to do a clean up blitz on both Essex County and Richmond County shores on Saturday, May 5th.
Volunteers gathered in the early morning at the June Parker Marina, bringing with them several boats, canoes, life jackets, garbage bags, gloves, litter getters pick up tools and a determination to improve our town’s riverfront. The area covered runs from Mount Landing Creek to Hoskins Creek on the south side, and from Cat Point Creek to the Wild Life Reserve at Mangoright Point on the north side of the river.
