Rotary cleanup crew rescue eagle

The wounded eagle was rescued by Rotarians Joe Johnston and Mac Garrett just below the Downing Bridge on the Richmond County side on the Refuge beach. The Fed Warden who appeared on the scene said it was most likely hit by a car while feeding on road side. It will be taken to an expert in Richmond county who will determine the probability of survival with treatment. Pictured with Joe & Mac is Tanner Croxton.

Tappahannock Rotary Club partners with friends of the Rappahannock and boy scouts for trash pickup on the river.
